Mollydooker awarded ‘2019 Telstra SA Business of the Year’

Last Thursday night, we attended the SA Telstra Business Awards at Adelaide Oval. From the 21,000 entries, Mollydooker was not only awarded winners of the ‘Medium and Making Waves’ category, we were also named 2019 Telstra South Australian Business of the Year!

For those of you that have been with us for years, and those whose journey is just beginning with Mollydooker, I want to thank you for your ongoing support, and for making what we do so enjoyable. This past April marked two years since I became sole owner of Mollydooker, and if life wasn’t a whirlwind before, it truly has been ever since. My priority as CEO was to ensure that whilst we maintained quality, we strived to build the best possible relationships with our customers, so that we could become more than just the wine in your glass. Without you embracing us, none of what we do would be possible.

In celebration of this fantastic award, I wanted to share with you some of the things that we as a company have been able to achieve since our beginnings in 2005. Whilst wine has been my passion since I was a young girl trying dad’s port out of the barrel whilst he was asleep, I also have a strong desire to do all that I can to help those that have not been as fortunate as us. Together, with your support, we have educated 300 children from the slums of Cambodia from the age of 5 through Transform Cambodia. 11 years into the program, our first graduate will be finishing high-school next year, where we will continue to support them through university studies.

Through Mercy Multiplied in the U.S, each year we have sponsored 20 women suffering from abuse, to help them gain access to safe and supportive housing. Lastly, through our group tasting fees in the Cellar Door and other fundraising activities, we have raised over $30,000 for Hutt Street Centre in Adelaide, a local centre and safe-place for the homeless.

I’d also like to recognise the incredible contribution of my entire team. It’s wonderful to have a team around me that are so passionate about their work. We are all inspired, even more now to continue to improve, lead and motivate those around us. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Mollydooker in the future!
