WHO IS THE BLUE EYED BOY?
The Blue Eyed Boy is Sarah’s son, Luke. Stomping grapes as a kid and now heading up the Mollydooker Sales Team.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2023 Blue Eyed Boy is deep and vibrant, with rich dark purple hues. Its complex and enticing nose features aromas of blueberry, fresh plum, and hints of mocha cream. The wine combines power and delicacy, showcasing lush layers of fresh berries, aniseed spice, and a chocolate cream finish. Its generous and dynamic profile, with subtle tannins, ensures a seamless and long-lasting finish.
TECHNICAL NOTES:
The grapes were grown on the Coppermine Road, Gateway, Long Gully Road and Mollydooker Home vineyards in McLaren Vale, and Joppich vineyard in Langhorne Creek. Barrel fermented and matured in 100% American oak, using 54% new and 46% one year old barrels. The required Marquis Fruit Weight™ for the Family Series is 75% – 85%. The Actual Fruit Weight for 2023 Blue Eyed Boy is 79%.

Rich and deep, the 2021 Boxer is both elegant and powerful, with beautiful notes of fresh plum, mocha and liquorice lifting out of the glass. A soft plummy mouthfeel, well measured tannins and slightly toasted oak compliment the rich fruit, creating a wine with many layers.

WHAT IS THE MARQUISE?
(n.) A woman who holds a high social rank in her own right.
For our first ever small batch wine, it only made sense to honour Robert Parker and the profound impact he had on the early years of Mollydooker. Inspired by Parkers love of Syrah from the Rhône Valley, we fermented and aged four barrels of our ultra premium Shiraz grapes in French oak for 11 months, creating a style we have never released before.
The result. A remarkable wine that will delight you with its subtle nuances and understated complexity.
TASTING NOTES
The Marquise 2024 Shiraz opens with a vibrant bouquet of dark blackberry and plum, lifted by hints of vanilla cream and butterscotch. The palate is rich yet beautifully balanced, revealing layers of chocolate, coffee and gentle spice intertwined with delicate floral undertones. Supple French oak tannins provide structure, leading to a smooth, lingering finish – a wine of elegance and refined complexity.

The 2024 Two Left Feet is a beautifully balanced blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Ripe fruits of dark cherry, blackberry and plum are complemented by the secondary notes of vanilla and mixed spices. The silky, satin like fruit profile, encompassed by lovely ripe tannins, cascades effortlessly through the palate providing fantastic depth and a lingering finish
