TASTING NOTES:
Deep and inky in color, the 2023 Carnival of Love makes a striking impression. Its powerful yet delicate nature is highlighted by lifted aromas of red cherry, blackberry, and aniseed that leap from the glass. Infectious flavors of choc-cherry, fresh plum, and liquorice add to the wine’s complexity, creating a seamless structure and a lingering finish.
TECHNICAL NOTES:
The grapes were grown on the Gateway vineyard in McLaren Vale. Barrel fermented and matured in 100% American oak, using 100% new barrels. The required Marquis Fruit Weight™ for the Love Series is 85% – 95%. The Actual Fruit Weight for 2023 Carnival of Love 88%.

In 2022, Two Left Feet wine stands out for its lively balance. The Shiraz (70%) grape adds depth, while Merlot (15%) and Cabernet (15%) contribute fragrance and lifted notes. On the palate you’ll notice the dominant plum and mocha notes with a touch of toasty oak. The red fruit flavors feel silky due to the soft tannins. The taste journey continues with hints of licorice and blackberry jam, creating a joyful experience that celebrates the blend’s diverse elements.

TASTING NOTES:
Dense, dark and brooding in the glass, the 2020 Velvet Glove Shiraz is complex and sumptuous. Black plum, blueberries and roasted coffee intermingle with anise in its lifted fragrance. A supremely smooth molten chocolate mouthfeel accentuates the precise balance of infinitely complex structure, expressing deep flavours of berries, whilst liquorice and allspice linger on the palate. 2020 has produced a Velvet Glove of incredible eminence and elegance that is truly the pinnacle of Mollydooker Wines.

After several years of careful cellaring, we are delighted to showcase both varietals with their unique profiles and stylistic nuances across three distinct vintages, 2019, 2020 and 2021. If you are a Gigglepot fan, you may remember that we did not release a 2019 vintage due to a small yield. In turn, we safely cellared the limited bottles, we did make, especially for this limited-edition collectors release.
